Meet Karolin Saweres, MS, RDN, LD
I’m Karolin Saweres, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, founder of My Nutrition & Me, and someone who believes nutrition should fit your life—not the other way around.
My passion for nutrition started long before I became a dietitian. Growing up in a family affected by obesity and chronic disease, I witnessed firsthand how health challenges can impact quality of life. Those experiences sparked a desire to help people take control of their health through prevention, education, and sustainable lifestyle changes.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida State University, completed my dietetic internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, and later earned my Master of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from Central Michigan University. Over the past 20 years, I have worked in clinical nutrition, oncology, bariatrics, corporate wellness, and private practice, helping thousands of individuals navigate their unique health journeys.
What truly shapes my approach, however, is my belief that nutrition should be personalized. There is no single diet that works for everyone. Every person has different goals, preferences, cultures, schedules, and challenges. My role is to help you find an approach that works for you—one that is realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable.
My philosophy is also deeply influenced by my Mediterranean roots. Growing up in Egypt and marrying into a Lebanese family taught me that food is more than fuel—it’s culture, connection, tradition, and joy. Learning traditional Lebanese cooking from my mother-in-law reinforced my belief that healthy eating should never feel restrictive. Some of life’s healthiest foods are also the most flavorful.
Today, I specialize in adult weight management, behavior change, Medical Nutrition Therapy, and chronic disease prevention. I hold a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and am certified to teach the LIFESTEPS® Weight Management Program. I also developed The ReStart Nutrition & Lifestyle Program to help individuals move beyond quick fixes and build habits that create lasting results.
In addition to working one-on-one with clients, I regularly share nutrition expertise through television appearances, media interviews, corporate wellness programs, cooking demonstrations, and community presentations. My goal is always the same: to make nutrition simpler, more practical, and less overwhelming.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me creating Mediterranean-inspired recipes, experimenting in the kitchen, watching tennis, belly dancing, enjoying a glass of wine, spending time with my two sons, or simply embracing life’s quieter moments.
At My Nutrition & Me, you’ll never find judgment, perfectionism, or one-size-fits-all advice. You’ll find evidence-based guidance, realistic strategies, and a partner who genuinely wants to help you build a healthier relationship with food—and with yourself.
Because lasting health isn’t about being perfect. It’s about creating habits you can live with for life.
